Yesterday, the concert hall of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design hosted a fabulous gala concert of the second season of the international cultural and humanitarian inter-university youth project “OPERA & PODIUM”.
Celebration and magic – this was the atmosphere in which the audience filled the hall for two hours.
The hall applauded, the audience cheered, the concert was a success. At the same time, an esteemed expert council was evaluating the teams of young students. This season the expert council included: Yuri Laptev, Artistic Director of the “OPERA & PODIUM” project, People’s Artist of Russia, Yulia Strizhak, Director of the Chaliapin Musical Theatre, Irina Dolgova, Chief Artist of the St. Petersburg State Theatre of Musical Comedy, Tatiana Pavlovskaya, Honoured Artist of Russia, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, Zhang Zehua, Deputy President of Hanshi Group Holding, and Avinir Mak, Vice-Rector for Research at the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
Special prizes from the St. Petersburg State Theatre of Musical Comedy – Certificates for participation in master classes on “Theatrical make-up” and “Artistic and staging technologies” were awarded by the chief artist of the theatre Irina Dolgova. The prize went to Daria Kashina and Elena Andrianova, students of the Clothing Engineering School of the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, and Ekaterina Pomazkova and Ksenia Kirpichnikova, students of the Institute of Textile and Fashion.
The project partners Hanshi Group Holding and the Sino-Russian Research Association of Experts in Culture and Art Development established a special prize for the development of partnership ties and strengthening of Sino-Russian friendship, which was awarded to the director of the team that staged an excerpt from the opera. Vyacheslav Borodenchik, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly, presented the prize at the award ceremony.
