International Academic Mobility Programme: SPbUPTD Students Intern at Shanghai College of Publishing and Printing
As part of the international academic mobility programme, students of the Graduate School of Printing and Media Technologies of SPbUPTD underwent an internship at the Shanghai College of Publishing and Printing at the Shanghai University of Science and Technology. The participants were 20 students studying in the fields of publishing, advertising and public relations and information systems and technologies. During a month the students mastered disciplines related to photo and video production and post-processing, studied 3D modelling, virtual reality technologies and stop-motion animation. The training programme included classes aimed at getting acquainted with the intangible cultural heritage of China: Chinese language, calligraphy, creation of name seals, fabric painting. At the official closing ceremony, all participants received certificates of successful completion of the educational course. The programme of the trip included visits to bookstores and Artron, a well-known publishing house in China, where students studied advanced technologies used to create high-quality printed products, the work of the production workshop and finished editions that will later reach bookstores, as well as the work of editors, proofreaders and graphic designers.
