International Festival of Fashion, Art, and Design “Admiralty Needle” Celebrates 29th Edition with Virtual Reality Innovations
The International Festival of Fashion, Art, and Design “Admiralty Needle” took place for the 29th time at St. Petersburg State University of Technology and Design. This year, the festival was held under the motto “Virtual Worlds of the Admiralty Needle”: the use of virtual reality, neural networks, and artificial intelligence allowed designers to unleash their imagination and bring their boldest ideas to life in both digital and real design images. With the introduction of new competition categories like “Fashion and Augmented Reality,” there was a deeper dive into the world of digital and virtual fashion.
More than 350 designers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition program and the evaluation of the works. A total of 53 clothing collections made it to the finals. The Grand Prix winner, awarded 500,000 rubles, was Aishat Saidova from Dagestan, Russia, with her collection “Post-Human.”
