Our most musical Mentor and the inspirer of our Project is Galina Kiseleva. She is the Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor of the Solo Singing Department of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatoire named after Rimsky-Korsakov.
Galina’s career began at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of Saint Petersburg Conservatoire, where she performed the leading roles of the lyric-dramatic soprano: Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Liza (The Queen of Spades), Mimi (La Bohème) and many others. Galina made her debut at the Mariinsky Theatre as the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro) and subsequently performed principal roles in premiere productions including Tosca (Tosca), Katerina (Katerina Izmailova) and Maria (Mazepa). In total, her repertoire includes more than twenty opera roles. With the works of cantata and oratorio genre she performed not only in Russia, but also with touring concert and opera performances in Germany, Italy, France, the USA and other countries.
Since 1992 and to this day, Galina has been teaching at the Solo Singing Department. Among her students are more than 25 laureates and diploma holders of international and all-Russian singing competitions.
