Peter Gamayunov is a Director of the Institute of Costume Design, Head of the Department of Painting and Drawing, Professor of Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Curator of the annual international exhibition-competition of artists-teachers of creative directions of higher and secondary professional educational institutions ‘Creative Autumn’.

The famous Saint Petersburg artist-painter Peter Gamayunov is a graduate of the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, a laureate and diploma winner of all-Russian and international competitions of fine arts, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Peter has always been attracted by landscape subjects, the author often applies the method of decorative realism, generalizing surfaces and masses, bringing purity of forms and colour into his work. Peter to this day carries out an active creative and exhibition activity. His works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Canada, the USA, Australia, China, Japan and other countries. The artist’s work has been recognized with many prestigious awards.

Heading the Department of Painting and Drawing at SPbSUITD, Peter Petrovich with care and heartfelt participation passes on his skills to young painters and graphic artists, focusing on the delicate work with the natural landscape and found colour solutions.
